Tencel

Tencel

The problem: Viscose relies heavily on the use of toxic chemicals in its production. Carbon disulphide, sodium hydroxide and sulphuric acid, all widely used to turn wood pulp into viscose fabric, have been linked to severe health issues in supply chain workers and pollution of communities local to viscose production facilities.

Our solution: We use Tencel as it is the only viscose that is sustainably produced using the Lenzing process, which doesn’t discharge toxic chemicals into the environment. Tencel also acts as a carbon sink, pulling carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere and keeping it on the ground.
