The problem:Denim production relies on harmful processes such as sandblasting, stonewashing and washing with toxic chemicals. People have become accustomed to stretch in their denim fit but to achieve this, petroleum based fibres such as elastane must be blended with cotton. Denim also uses huge amounts of water and toxic dyes in processing.

Our solution: Our denim is either rinse washed or mildly distressed using the lowest impact enzymes on the market, minimising the need for toxic chemicals. We also limit the amount of elastane we use to 2%, while still offering a perfect fit. We are looking at ways to phase out elastane completely.
