Organic cotton is grown and processed without the use of chemicals and pesticides. Conventional cotton farming – representing 12% of world agriculture – uses more pesticides than all other agricultural production. These pesticides poison our air, water and soil, cause desertification, and contribute to farmers abandoning agriculture and migrating to cities looking for work.
Nitrous oxide from chemical fertilisers, a greenhouse gas, is a major contributor to global warming and climate change, as well as directly contaminating rivers and seas. Organic cotton doesn’t damage the soil, has less impact on the air, and uses 71% less water and 62% less energy than conventional cotton. It protects the people producing it from pesticide related illness and debt, enabling them to feed, shelter and clothe their families and afford healthcare. It helps to ensure that the land and environment will flourish for future generations.
Better for the farmers. Better for the planet. Better for you.Read more about Organic cotton
Silk has less impact on the environment than many other fabrics. Silk processing does not require the use of chemicals. Silk worms feed on mulberry leaves, which are often grown using fertilisers. We are working towards using organic silk where no chemical fertilisers are used either.Read more about silk production
Polyester is a synthetic fibre derived from fossil fuels. Plastic fibres take hundreds of years to decompose once thrown away. Recycled polyester diverts plastics from landfill and uses 50% less energy during production than virgin alternatives, saving this crude oil derivative for future generations.Read more about recycled polyester

Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) certified products ensure that the production of wood and paper based products is managed in an environmentally responsible way. Wood is a carbon sink and captures CO2 from the atmosphere. FSC certified methods are socially beneficial and commercially viable for the producers, as well as offering a more sustainable alternative to recycled paper and card.
All our packaging is made from FSC paper and is biodegradable.Read more about deforestation and the benefits of FSC
