British Wool There are two British wools in the collection. One is from the rare Wensleydale sheep, of which there are only 1800 breeding females in the world. These sheep are not bred for meat, and live out their lives in an award winning ethical environment. This is processed in the mills of West Yorkshire and the Scottish Borders. The second is spun and woven from naturally coloured fleece, with no artificial dyes and no synthetic detergents – and is a naturally organic process supporting British heritage skills. Recycled wool This is sourced from the Prato region of Italy where centuries old craft skills have successfully merged with modern industry requirements and sustainable innovations. Reducing waste, our recycled wool is producing from off cuts and discarded clothing, therefore it does contain a small percentage of other fibres.
